Summer started and Nomos shows us two new watches: the Club and Ahoi Aqua models. Two watches in siren white and powered by the in-house developed DUW3001 movement.
Aqua Series – Club and Ahoi
The Club and Ahoi are two different collections, where Ahoi comes a bit more close to the original Nomos designs, the Club was aiming at a slightly different audience. Younger perhaps, but at least a bit sportier. The Ahoi is Nomos’ diver watch, or at least something you can wear near (or in) the sea. A perfect (summer) holiday watch! Where the recent Autobahn watches weren’t everyone’s cup of tea (nor should they be), the Aqua versions of the Nomos Club and Ahoi will probably be received positively by a larger audience. The Ahoi neomatik in siren white will be available as a 36mm diameter watch, while the Club neomatik in siren white measures 37mm in diameter. These modest sizes make them available for men and women, whereas we believe that the white dials and summer colours will do very well with the latter.
The blue, red and white colours on the dial look fresh and won’t disappoint on the beaches at the Côte d’Azur for sure. Both watches come with Super-LumiNova applied hands and dials, as you can see in the images. With a water resistance of 200 meters (~20 bar) make these watches serious competition to the many divers watches out there. The Aqua series Club and Ahoi watches come on a light-grey tailor-made textile strap, designed by Nomos but manufactured in France. They look awesome on the white dialled Club and Ahoi and according to Nomos these straps will dry up really quickly after use in the water.
The Nomos DUW3001 calibre is a neomatik calibre with means it is an in-house built automatic movement. It measures only 3.2mm in height, enabling Nomos to keep their watches very thin. The power reserve is up to 43 hours and the movement has been regulated in six positions. The movement has Nomos’ own swing system and beautiful double balance bridge fixed with screws on both sides. The Glashütte three-quarter plate is also respected with this movement as well as the Glashütte ribbing (or stripes) and Nomos perlage. Both Aqua watches have a sapphire crystal in the caseback so you can enjoy this movement.
Nomos ensures that these watches will be out for delivery in July already, so right in time to join you on a holiday (near the water). The watches will retail as follows:
Club neomatik siren white – 2.500 EUR
Ahoi neomatik siren white – 3.240 EUR
